Neighbors

I live on a sizable hill. At the bottom of one side there is a small Shinto shrine. One night as we were coming home we noticed they had lanterns crawling up the stairs in anticipation of a local neighborhood festival that was taking place the next day.

We stopped in and hung about as our neighbors drummed and played an assortment of traditional instruments for the kami in the shrine.
